Ask your team mates to collect the small shampoos, cream rinse, body lotion and other small samples at the various hotels while traveling. Have a convenient collection basket in the ladies or men's locker room. choose your favorite organization to donate these goodies. It could be a homeless shelter, half way house, shelter for abused women, whoever your tennis or golf group thinks would enjoy these goodies. Don't just think of the holidays, anytime of the year people like to know they are not forgotten. It is an easy way to make a difference.

Made in the USA
Just a reminder that approximately 97% of all our products are made in the USA. In fact we own the molds and manufacture about 40 % of all our products. We have a facility in Massachusetts where all our Clubhouse products are made. The costume jewelry we do not make ourselves is made by several companies in Rhode Island. (In fact Rhode Island was once the Capital of Costume Jewelry) We own the molds to many of our high end 14K Gold jewelry. For example, the 101DK which is our exclusive Hole in One Pendant with small diamonds is made in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Quite honestly, it has been difficult the last few years trying to keep our product line in this country. Many of our competitors were buying overseas and were able to offer similar products at a much lower price. Fortunately, for us public opinion has turned. Buyers want products made in the USA because they can trust the quality.

Try this easy scoring system. One point is added for hitting a Fairway (no matter how short!) Two points are subtracted for every time a Sandtrap is hit. The highest number of points at the end of the round is the winner. Easy to score for any level of player

Golfing Granma's Tournament
How about a GRANMA'S TOURNAMENT? Fun idea to have all the Granma's participate. Easy tee gift to give to everyone. Instead of awards for Longest Drive, awards could include-the "Newest Granma, the Youngest Granma, Granma with most Grandkids, Granma with the most Pictures in their wallet...Good tournament idea around Mother's Day or something different during the season.

Group Foursomes by Horoscope Signs
Try this fun way to group a foursome. Have everyone sign up under their horoscope sign. Send all the Aries out together-that should be interesting! Try four Sagittarius together-they will have lots of fun but might have a hard time staying focused! You could give everyone their horoscope for that day. See if more Aquarius win then Leo's. There are so many things you could do to with this fun tournament theme!

Thoughts on Gift Cards-Pros & Cons
As a retailer we love gift cards/gift certificates. They are a great way for someone else to pay for our advertising! We have noticed over the years that many of the gift certificates have not been redeemed. It disappoints us since we would love for more people to find out about our great products and customer service however, personally as a purchaser of gift cards it makes me worry. Do the recipients ever use the card? It would be great if there was a follow up that the company sent the giver of the card an acknowledgment that the card was used. The logistics should not be difficult yet, gift cards can be used years later. I think if recipients knew that the giver was going to be notified people would be more conscientious about using the gift card on a timely basis. They would not just throw the card in a drawer to be used later.
Any thoughts???

Try Smiling!
A tennis friend told the story of how intense she was in matches. Her face and body language indicated her killer instinct on the court. It made her partner and her opponents uncomfortable. Someonesuggested she try this technique-Smile. No matter how intense she felt she put this huge smile on her face while waiting for a serve. No matter if she was winning or losing she would turn up the corners of her mouth and smile.
There were two consequences to this behavior; first she found the smile actually relaxed her. Secondly, the smile got in the opponent's head. They did not know how to react. Some got annoyed with her but other players started smiling more on the court themselves.
So as the lyrics to an old WWI song go: "Smile, Smile, Smile!"
